French/English Bilingual Customer Service
& French Project Coordinator

Work Team:  Customer Service and Marketing Teams – Windsor Ontario Canada

Job Code: Hourly, Full Time (40 hours/week)

Position Summary:
Customer Service aspect includes processing inbound and/or outbound French and English phone calls to fulfill all Ministry and Outside Customer requests, answer incoming French correspondence requiring a personal response, and translate French material.
Project Coordinator aspect is to plan and organize upcoming marketing projects and regular mailings to ensure a proper translation and a complete, thorough, and successful implementation.

Essential Functions:

  1. Respond to incoming French and English phone calls and analyze requests. Will be main respondent to French calls.
  2. Enter customer requests in to database for fulfillment of product requests.
  3. Compose letters and e-mail in response to French customer inquiries as needed.
  4. Some translation work.
  5. Manage French language ministry marketing (print and digital) projects from inception to completion.
  6. Coordinate communication among various Our Daily Bread teams and with outside translators and graphic designers to ensure complete understanding of project plans, requirements, deliverables and deadlines
  7. Negotiate and coordinate production schedules and service agreements internally and externally in order to complete projects according to schedule.
  8. Identify, track, and report on each project’s scope, timeframe, and cost. Develop specific process flows for each project and make recommendations on process improvements.
  9. Maintain consistent recurring deadlines for regularly scheduled mailings.
  10. Update consumer website, webstore interface and social media outlets.
  11. Detail oriented with the ability to scrutinize and analyze anticipated requirements.

Additional Functions:

  1. Process automated/internet orders as needed.
  2. Provide backup to English customer service team as needed.
  3. Assist with other outreach functions and social media.
  4. Communicate needs and desires in a clear and concise manner.
  5. Maintain inventory of current marketing items.
  6. Coordinate small projects for other ministry teams as capacity allows.
  7. Travel within Canada and the United States may be required.

Study or Knowledge and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or related fields or 3 – 5 years of experience in customer service or marketing management.
  • Excellent customer service/people skills and pleasant manner on phone.
  • Must demonstrate aptitude in organization and have an understanding of marketing.
  • Must be capable of coordinating and handling multiple projects, tasks, objectives, timelines and details of several simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrated ability in word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated ability in desktop publishing essential.
  • Strive to live a life consistent with Biblical principles and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.

Internal Work Environment

  • Involves complex communication with individuals/groups throughout the organization.  Clear and concise communication is essential.
  • Discretion, accuracy, and tact are required to successfully negotiate schedules, deadlines, costs, fulfillment, etc.

External Work Environment

  • Extensive outside communication with Our Daily Bread readers and donors.
  • Responsible to provide positive relationship/impression of Our Daily Bread Ministries.
  • Some topics are sensitive and confidential and may require encouragement/prayer while on the phone.
  • Communication with outside vendors and other organizations may be complex.  Discretion, accuracy, and tact are required.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and audits projects with multiple teams and functions so that all involved fully understand project goal(s), expected results, and required services.
  • Gives feedback to project originators in relation to scheduling changes, priorities, etc. Responsible for proper coordination and filing of all aspects of project requirements

Stewardship of Resources

  • Responsible for handling of credit cards and keeping member information secure.
  • Decisions made could have an impact on the postal budget.
  • Responsible for the successful coordination of various Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada projects.
  • Researches cost of projects and makes recommendations on expenditures and budget. Must be sensitive to the charitable accountability to donors in the use of funds.
  • Must allocate time resources in an efficient and organized manner.

Miscellaneous notes for consideration:

  • Work in a secure environment which requires a background check and police clearance is required as a part of the employment contract.  Confidentiality agreement is also required to conform to privacy policies.
  • Should be comfortable with their faith and biblical knowledge.
  • Participate in daily devotional discussion and prayer time.

Project Coordinator (English Book Distribution)

Work Team:  Marketing Team – Windsor Ontario Canada

Identify, plan and organize upcoming marketing projects to ensure complete, thorough, and successful implementation.  Detailed tracking of projects through the coordination of multiple teams and processes to ensure on-time results.

Essential Functions:

  1. Manage multiple ministry marketing (print and digital) projects/campaigns as assigned from inception to completion.

Warehouse Clerk (Part Time)

Job Title:  Part-Time Warehouse Clerk with potential to grow into full time position

Work Team:  Supply Chain/Warehouse – Windsor Ontario Canada

Job Code:  Hourly, Part Time

Position Summary:
Pick and deliver daily restock materials to the fulfillment area. Pick/pack/ship warehouse orders as received. Deliver supplies/internal requests inter-office. Maintain accurate inventory levels across all areas through accurate picking/inventory management.

Essential Functions: 

  • Restock daily to product picking areas, picking and transferring items on inventory management software.
  • Pick and transfer stock/mailing materials to the appropriate location.
  • Report damages, shortages, and quantity discrepancies.
  • Deliver or route materials to warehouse locations and departments.
  • Pick and package outgoing orders accurately in a timely manner.
  • Receive incoming products from vendors as directed.
  • Deliver internal warehouse email orders in a timely manner.
  • Load Outbound carriers daily.
  • Take out recycling and garbage on assigned days.
  • Order Postal Material.
  • Troubleshoot picking quantity discrepancies.
  • Manage product locations.
  • Cycle count locations as needed.
  • Follow Warehouse safety standards.
  • Keep work area and aisle way dry, clean and uncluttered.

Additional Functions:

  • Participation in the annual physical inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Team Leader.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs/25 kg.

Study, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • High school graduate (grade 12 or 13)
  • Previous experience in Warehouse Operations
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Experience with warehouse equipment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Expertise in Customer Service

Stewardship of Resources:

  • Verification of quantity accuracy of incoming product
  • Ensures timeliness of shipment deliveries

Miscellaneous Factors:

  • Regular standing, bending, pulling, lifting, climbing, and twisting.
